OPPORTUNITY
-Pittsburgh successfully replaced antiquated parking meters with automated multispace parking kiosks in 2012. The appearance and interfaces were updated too.
-Although pay-by-plate simplifies parkinga and enforcement, and new parking kiosks are more convenient for people with disabilities than before, there are still some problems.
OBSERVATION
-For example, the screen on the kiosk is 146cm tall. Many female adults feel inconvenient when operate the kiosk. What’s more, the screen angle cannot be changed, user has to look at the screen at a very specific angle in order to get a better view.
